Volunteer Opportunities
Blood Drive Donors and Volunteer Helpers
OLG sponsors a blood drive four times a year, and volunteers are needed to donate blood. In addition, volunteers are needed to greet donors, and to work in the canteen area serving refreshments and drinks to donors. Watch the bulletin for dates, and to sign up to donate or volunteer at the blood drive.
Drivers to Doctor Appointments and Other Errands As Needed
Volunteers are needed
(sometimes on short notice) to drive elderly and sick
parishioners to doctor appointments, as well as to various
other appointments and errands.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
New this year, this ministry offers individuals
who knit and/or crochet the opportunity to make
prayer shawls for parishioners in need of comfort and support
during an illness or a difficult time. The shawls
remind the recipient that God’s love is with them always,
and that they are in the hearts and prayers of others as
well. The group will gather on the 1st Thursday of each
month at 7
PM in the school library. All are welcome!
Senior Wheels
This is a community program sponsored by Senior Resources of Guilford County. It provides rides to medical appointments for residents 55 years and older who live in Guilford County and are not able to drive themselves. OLG volunteers drive on the second Monday of each month.

Visiting the Sick
This volunteer
opportunity is available for people who are interested in
visiting the sick and/or homebound members of Our Lady of
Grace. This vital ministry keeps our homebound parishioners
connected to the parish. Volunteers give of their time
to brighten the days of others. All that is required is your
own transportation, a kind heart, and a friendly smile.
