Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensboro, NC

Adult Education and Formation

The aim of adult religious instruction at Our Lady of Grace is to call men and women to a deeper and better formed discipleship under Christ Jesus.

Three things that happen every year for adults:

  • Catholic pilgrims in RCIA —RCIA is not just for people becoming Catholic. You may join it as a ‘pilgrim’ –a Catholic on a journey to a holy place—to review and renew your own faith. Get re-acquainted, and more deeply acquainted with the doctrine, the Scriptures, the saints and deepen your spiritual life. Usually begins the week after Labor Day week. Tuesdays, 7-9 PM Library. Also Saturdays, 10-11:30 AM at St. Joseph’s House. See RCIA page for contact information.
  • Key to the Scriptures—Classes to introduce you to the books and the key theme that ties all the Scriptures together. A good way to begin a long-term relationship with Bible reading for your own spiritual growth. Usually begins the 2nd week of June. Tuesdays, 7-9 PM, Library. Registration in April and May each year via email, brochure, phone, and bulletin.
  • The Eucharistic Congress—this Diocesan assembly in Charlotte in early fall (late September or early October) brings in powerful speakers to deepen and re-charge our faith as the priests and people of parishes from across western North Carolina join for a magnificent day. Watch the bulletin in August and September for details.

Saturday School of Faith

The Saturday School of Faith is a series of talks, presentations, workshops, speakers, and the like, aimed at adults. Many are just one hour long, while others are morning workshops. The Saturday School of Faith runs from September into June, always on Saturday mornings, usually in the Library. They are advertised in our church bulletin.  No registration is necessary for most of the classes.  Some workshops or speakers will require registration--watch the bulletin for details.
