Abstinence and Fasting
DAYS OF ABSTINENCE
(MEATLESS MEALS)
Ash Wednesday & Good Friday, all
Fridays in Lent + Applies to Catholics 14 years and
older + Under the present law, egg or milk products,
soups or gravies flavored with meat juices are allowed
DAYS OF FASTING
Ash Wednesday & Good
Friday + Applies to all Catholics from age 18 to
59 + Only one full meal a day may be taken + Two small
meals, sufficient to maintain strength, are allowed, but
together they should not equal another full meal
These regulations are
considered to be a serious obligation for all Catholics.
However, those who are ill, pregnant, on medication or
special diets for health concerns, or those who must work at
extremely physical jobs may be exempt from these
regulations. A more serious reason should be present to
excuse Ash Wednesday and Good Friday penance.

DEVOTIONS
Adoration of
the Blessed Sacrament The Blessed Sacrament will
be exposed each Friday between the 7:00am and 8:45am
Masses. And Tuesdays from 5:00pm to
6:00pm.
First Friday
Devotion Opportunity for private First Friday
Devotions will be given on the First Friday of each
month. Pamphlets are available in the church for
self-lead prayer. Click these links for more

Benediction
First Saturday of
each month following the 8:00am morning Mass.
Rosary Recitation of the
rosary follows the 8:00am Mass on Saturdays, except for the
first Saturday of the month. On the first Saturday of
each month the Rosary will be prayed before the 8:00am

Divine Mercy
Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet is prayed after
the 8:45am Mass each Tuesday. To find out more about

Divine Mercy
Cenacle A Divine Mercy Cenacle is a group of
people who meet weekly for song, prayer, and discussion on
Scripture and the writings of Saint Maria Faustina
Kowalska. They meet on Tuesday mornings following the
8:45am Mass (at approximately 9:30am) in the choir room of
the church building.
